Azalea

Azalea’s remind me of my mom. Probably just because she died in spring and we received so many potted plants at her memorial. I had several of the Azalea’s from the memorial planted on the steps of my apartment for years after that. Some jerk stole them and I had a guilt ridden heart wrenching (like only a young injured woman can conjure up) note posted for about a month. I knew the person wouldn’t return them but I wanted them to feel bad. I finally took it down when the neighbor offered to buy me more…….(that wasn’t my point cause the note said I would buy them new ones if they would just return them)

When I bought this house I was very happy to see a large Azalea and I had to wait until the next spring to know what color it was. I am very happy every year that it blooms its bright pink flowers. Its all in bloom right now and there seems to be no way to take a good picture. I tried the digital camera, I tried the cell phone and I even pulled out the Pentax 35mm, things looked better through it but the batteries were dead. I changed them and it still won’t take pictures. I have to pull out the manual or buy fresh batteries.  So this is as good as the pictures get and they do not do this justice.
