Offer Letter is-a-comin

After the 4th interview today with a company that was formerly referred to as “the competitor” I am now expecting an offer letter next week.

There is a pay cut involved and my vacation is cut in half. But I am happy.
I am not one that likes special treatment and don’t want to be the person being brought in making more then others in the same position or get extra vacation right from the start because I know that can breed discontent.

From what has been presented to me, it seems like quite a dynamic group. They seem quite busy and that feels refreshing. Besides being happy I am feeling very excited about this new chapter.

I have had 6 weeks since I was layed off. I got to spend 3 weeks with my baby sister, her husband and kids and now a couple weeks with Chari in warm sunny California. It will take a couple weeks for the drug test and background check. In that time I hope to be able to actually relax and get my garden in, perhaps start plans for the deck.

It will be good to get the offer letter so I can quit dreaming about not being able to pay my mortgage and searching for work.

I know I said this six weeks ago, even through the loss and displacement that I was feeling. Everything happens for a reason, there is a bigger plan and I would just go with the flow.

I am truly blessed, every day, Thank God.
