I’m just a girl. My hobbies and passions include my friends, garden, dog, house and writing. So here you will find stories of all of the above and my rambling viewpoint on the stuff I see and do everyday.
1 stick of butter
1 cup of flour
1 cup of sugar (I used splenda for this one, it was ok but didn’t rise as much as usual)
1.5 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup milk
2 heaping cups of berries or apples or peaches.
Heat oven to 350 put a 2-3 quart pyrex in with the stick of butter while it heats up.
Mix the flour sugar baking powder and milk together.
Once the butter is melted and the pyrex is hot mix in to flour mixture into butter and mix well.
Drop fruit in and bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes. Remove when top starts to brown.
Your cobbler recipe sounds similar to mine, except at the end I pour 3/4 cup boiling water over the top and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Come by and see a picture of my latest cobbler.
