Marathon Completed

Here is the post over on Salutary.

This is the picture of me waiting and waiting and waiting for the race to start.

At about mile 7, the beauty of lake Washington was amazing.  I was waning because my hip was killing me and started thinking why in the heck am I here…this isn’t nearly as much fun without Char who could not make the race because of her Morton’s Neuroma reappearing.  Thats when I noticed the bald eagle in the top of the tree looking down on the race.

Took out my phone from the handy dandy carrier I bought yesterday and snapped these pics.
Said “hi mom” and got on with finishing!  She is always there when I need her most.

I didn’t do as well as I had planned, or even as well as I had hoped.
But I shaved time off from the last one and I did.
I finished.
