So a lot more time spent on the bathroom shower this weekend. Prepping to re-caulk and re-seal the drain. A good chunk of Saturday spent doing that. On Sunday the caulking and then puttying (putty-ing, puttieing – oh hell putting putty in) the drain occurred as did re-caulking the entire shower.
I was putting the faucet back in and could not get the stem to stop leaking. I stacked some buckets under the drip, just to wait out the drying caulk. After catching a little football I went downstairs to find the floor soaking wet, again. The only difference is no water had been run in the house at all in that time.
I took the faucet back off and the escutcheon plate and when I did water poured out. So, now that the drain is re-sealed and the shower re-caulked I do believe the issue is in this faucet.
I have the water being re-directed with my handy-dandy water re-direction kit until I buy a new faucet and hire a plumber. Oh yea.
