Best laid plans

The weekend was a lot of fun. Not a lot got accomplished chore wise, however it was good to connect with family and friends.

We got in so late on Friday but still stood around visiting for several hours, going to bed finally in the wee hours of the morning. When we all got up and showered and headed off for breakfast it was pouring rain.

Soon after we returned home Tonya and Briana showed up dressed in work clothes prepared to work in the yard. Luckily they also brought a new board game for us to play. We all sat around the table and played Quelf Katherine came by a couple hours later and joined in.

There was lots of laughter and ridiculousness, here are two pictures from the event.

There was Chinese food ordered in and more board games, exhausted we went to bed about 10:00.

Sunday we planned to get some of that weeding done and go to the pool store. Lori and I went to the grocery store and picked up stuff for breakfast and by the time we were back most everyone was awake.

After breakfast we took a water sample to the pool store, they were closed for Easter. Oh duh, it’s Easter. I left the list and cash with Dale and he is heading back there tomorrow.

The amount of weeds I pulled was so minimal, it isn’t worth mentioning. We spent the morning and early afternoon playing Farkle before heading to the airport and then home.

It was a super fast trip and I feel blessed that everyone showed up and played.
