Deck Post 3 of 3

This post was scheduled for tomorrow.  Tomorrow we are planning on framing the bottom and it will actually be complete.  However we went out with friends tonight and I’m tired and my belly hurts from laughing and too much sushi.  I can’t think up another topic this late so instead I am putting it here now.

Today we moved the canopy frame onto the platform deck we built last weekend.  After that we decorated!!

There was an end of the season sale and we picked up this outdoor rug in September and its been standing in the corner of the kitchen for nearly three months.  Also the outdoor curtains that provide both privacy and are fade resistant have been siting here for a couple of months as well.  That’s how long this whole project has taken while interwoven with others like the yard and the shed and actual jobs.

But today was just making it all pretty.  You may have seen this furniture in some of the before pictures.  It too has been around since the weekend we put in the shed foundation.  A man was driving by with sets of this furniture he makes piled high on his truck.  It is solid wood and the set came with a settee, table and two chairs.  We bought two sets and have two of the chairs and a table out front and the rest all here are on our new little back yard oasis.

[…] Today Lori was up again at 4am to start working on her post modernism history presentation.  I slept in until 7:00 and then went for a run.  Then after I made breakfast and before the Seahawks game I went out and did a couple of hours of weeding and then dug this shallow ditch to run an electric cord through.  I have to get another piece of PVC pipe to finish this off but when its done we will be able to plug-in the lights strung around the oasis.
