Saturday the plan was to get an early start. Even though I had an alarm set for 6:00 I didn’t sleep much past 4:00 am. I dozed a little but we were both awake so we got up and got going. Leaving the house by 6:00 and getting a start on the painting before 8:00 in the morning.
Paint, paint, paint. Trim and doors take so much more work and prep. Luckily we had a friend show up about 1:30 to help. I really did think we would be done painting and get to the other things we needed to get done. But after painting 3 closets all the window sills and the bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room doors and trim we headed home at 9:00 pm after painting for nearly 13 straight hours. My body and back hurt from bending and squatting all day. By the time we got home we had been gone for 13 hours and showered and went to bed.
The planned event of yard/garden work at our own house for Sunday was bumped and we headed back up on Sunday. Granted, I had no trouble sleeping until 6:00am. We got out of the house about 7:30 and got to work by about 9:30. I hung window treatments and Lori put all the doors and hinges back on the cabinets in the bathroom. We then focused on clearing everything out of the house and sweeping up and vacuuming to get ready for the floor installers today.
By the time we got home, we were both to tired to really even have dinner. Showers a little vegging out, the weekend was very productive and very exhausting.
