The month is over.  With this post I managed to blog everyday for NoBloPoMo.  Granted there were much more important things going on in the world this month.  So much that has left me utterly sad.

With Paris, Beirut and last weeks Planned Parenthood shootings it feels a bit self indulgent to write about things like gardening, marathons and the new kitten.

Hoping for a brighter December.

But we need more news of kittens, gardening, etc.! Our minds go to negative thinking when all we hear is bad, bad, bad news! Happy December, may it be an uplifting month leading into a new year! And: Today while I was counting “kettle” money for the Salvation Army, something I am doing this year — (every day at 7:00 A.M.), someone put in TWO one hundred dollar bills! A great way for me to start the first morning of December!

Thanks for being the epitome of the Volunteer, your service is beautiful. Glad to see the kettle is getting early love! I remember standing out there ringing the bell with you, brrrrrrrrr.

I agree with Linda. If all we let ourselves have was the struggle and sadness in the world, we’d fall into despair and be useless. The little normalities (or abnormalities, in the case of kittens in Valria’s house) are the things that feed our souls and inspire us to have creative problem solving ideas. Hugs to you, my dear friend. I was happy to read all your November posts and keep up with your day-to-day from afar.
