I started the day off at El Dorado Nature Park walking the two mile loop. Getting there just after the gates opened. When I completed the loop and it wasn’t even 9:00 a,m, I went a second time around.
When I finished there was a Green Heron on one of the turtle bridges. This picture does not do it any justice. The sun was reflecting off the water and washing out everything. Also zooming in on my phone did not help. But I did stand there and watch it preen for a few minutes.
I love all the Herons, the green is so different then the others and always a treat when I see it.
The morning dew was still everywhere when I got there, highlighting all of the spider webs. Little jeweled webs throughout the park. It got up to 93 today, so the dew evaporated off quickly. But it was beautiful while it lasted.
